In today's blog we have some pictures of a beautiful Wedding shot here at Maunsel House.
Photographer Nick Rutter shoots many Wedding Venues in Somerset and even abroad, not to mention corporate functions and events. We caught up with him recently for a brief interview:
"Another great couple and one of the best lit days I have ever had at a fantastic Wedding Venue in North Newton near Taunton in Somerset, called Maunsel House.
As it was a new venue sometimes I do a bit of a recky with a couple just to check the area out and to spot potential places for photos and to put any questions at ease. After I saw Scott and Carly, I had two separate calls from them which went along the lines of, "Nick its Scott, can you arrive a little earlier as I have a car for Carly to surprise her with and I want to capture her arriving in it" ... the day after ... "Nick its Carly, can you arrive a little earlier as I have a car for Scott to surprise him with and I want to capture him arriving arriving in it" Brilliant!
Maunsel House is such a lovely Wedding Venue. It not only boasts great scenic fields and other grass and wooded areas but a big stretch of grass all the way to a gate and over the road to a secluded little church where Scott and Carly married. It has a lovely little swing, picturesque trees and changes to a very quirky but beautiful interior in the house itself and a farm yard area where chickens and ducks and peacocks walk around, making great shots for a more rustic feel as well. Don't worry though, none of the animals get in the way of anyone, just really nice to see.
Carly's getting ready room is amazing! Super-grand and stately and it had the best light I could have wished for, coming through the windows creating some of the best and my most proudest of getting ready shots.
Such a lovely day, really happy with the photos we did around the grounds of the venue. Scott and Carly had their own "thank you" sign that I photographed with them to later use for their wedding thank you cards."
