The Secret Garden

As the Sun begins to shine and summer gets in to full swing, we are pleased to tell you a little more about the Maunsel House, "Secret Garden"

This area of Maunsel has been in development for a number of months and is now looking quite spectacular if we do say so ourselves! Our groundsmen and gardeners meticulously tend to our plants and herbs and we are proud to use organic produce grown on site. Whether you need need mint for your Pimms or Rosemary for your roast potatoes, The Secret Garden will have what you need!

David and Sophie

Today we take a look at David and Sophie's recent wedding here at Maunsel House.
A beautiful wedding and lovely couple, (keep an eye out for the four legged ring bearer!)

Capturing this wonderful event were Fran and Rob from Abbey House Studios.
We caught up with them earlier for their take on the day.

"Our wedding today had us very excited as we knew we would get to have a cuddle with a very important little man …. well doggy actually! Toby, the ‘only’ son so far of Sophie and David!

There he was all dressed up in a Tux ready for the most important duty of his life as ring bearer!
Maunsel House was the venue for today’s wedding and everyone arriving in their glam outfits, with the sun almost shining. We were anticipating a grand day and so it proved.

I was in the Kings Room with all the girls, just having fun. Sophie, our bride, had kept her dress a secret from all and what a picture this made when standing in beautiful light the girls entered … emitting screams of delight and mouths open, great photo!

Rob was with the boys, waiting in the ceremony room, David had a moment of realisation of what was about to happen, again a great photo. Photography has always been and always will be about the light, where to stand and when to push the button, that’s why it is so very important to hire a talented professional photographer for your wedding. These fleeting moments can never be repeated and captured again!

David and Sophie enjoyed drinks and nibbles with their guests after the ceremony on the lush green lawns of Maunsel House to the sounds of a trad Jazz band. A romantic stroll around the gardens and then back to the wedding breakfast. The speeches came before the meal. Peter, Sophie’s father, should be on the comedy circuit, so funny! Swiftly followed by David also bringing the house down and Ben not to be outdone came up trumps too, leaving the whole room with aching ribs.

Rob and I had a great day and left on a high.
Sophie and David, well what can we say, it must have been everything you planned and dreamed about and more. Look forward to seeing you again very soon.
