The Guest Wing

Good afternoon, we hope everyone had a great weekend.
We would like to remind everyone that the popular TV show, "The Guest Wing - Round the house's" will be back on Sky Atlantic, this Saturday 30th June.

Sky Atlantic HD will take viewers behind the beautiful facades of some of the country’s finest stately homes to discover how 21st Century aristocrats and their staff have adapted to life in credit-crunch Britain.

Behind the privilege, titles and mansions, the world of the aristocracy may not be as luxurious as it first appears. With huge mansions falling into ruin, utility bills escalating and 'old money' running out, the inhabitants of Chillingham Castle (Northumberland), Maunsel House (Somerset), Carlton Towers (East Yorkshire) and Muncaster Castle (Cumbria) must find new ways to pay the bills.

Opening their homes to visitors willing to pay to enjoy their weekends, weddings and celebrations in style, The Guest Wing properties and their inhabitants will play host to a range of events and experiences over the course of this six part documentary series.

From wedding events to stag parties, Maunsel House is among the stately homes that attract weekend guests from all walks of life and The Guest Wing explores the inevitable culture clash between the old money hosts and their paying guests.

From eccentric earls to busy baronets to harassed housekeepers, The Guest Wing will also examine the modern day Upstairs Downstairs divide as the households are adapted for contemporary events, offering a unique insight into the day to day life of a modern day stately home and its inhabitants.

Be sure to tune in. Sky Atlantic, Saturday 30th June 7AM http://skyatlantic.sky.com/the-guest-wing/the-guest-wing-maunsel-house

Back to the weddings for a moment and we had some wonderful comments from this weekend's Videographer.

"You've got a lovely venue there and the footage I was able to capture looks great so they should get a really nice film out of it all.
Like I said on the day you're one of the best managers/coordinators that I've dealt with at a venue (and we've been to quite a few!) so thank you again for all your help.
Hopefully we'll get a chance to film at Maunsel House again so I look forward to working with you again soon."

Its certainly was a beautiful wedding and we wish the happy couple all the best for the future.

That's all for now but in the mean time please join us on Facebook by clicking the image and dont forget to subscribe to our blog and share if you are feeling really kind.
